Liverpool will be desperate to return to winning ways when they journey south to take on Watford in the Premier League on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp's side enter the clash at Vicarage Road on the back of a two-match winless run in the league, which followed victories over Manchester City and Swansea.
The ninth-placed Reds suffered a shock 2-0 loss at Newcastle a fortnight ago and then squandered an early lead against West Brom last weekend to clinch a dramatic 2-2 draw late on.
The Hornets, meanwhile, have exceeded expectations thus far as they sit seventh in the standings after winning seven of their opening 16 games since being promoted to the top flight.
A 1-0 triumph against strugglers Sunderland last time out made it three wins in succession for Quique Flores' team, who are just one point and one position outside the European places.
In team news, Flores could welcome back defender Sebastian Prodl and midfielder Valon Behrami from their respective calf injuries.
However, Tommie Hoban (groin) and Joel Ekstrand (knee) remain unavailable, although the defensive duo could make their comebacks early in the New Year.
Klopp, though, is without defender Dejan Lovren and midfielder James Milner for the trip to Hertfordshire.
Lovren was on the receiving end of a bad tackle from West Brom midfielder Craig Gardner last weekend and will not be considered for selection, while MIlner sits this one out with a calf problem.
