Defending champions Barcelona will face Catalan rivals Espanyol in the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.

Having beaten Segunda Division B side Villanovense 6-1 on aggregate in the last 32, Barcelona will face much stiffer opposition in fellow La Liga outfit and Catalan neighbours Espanyol, who beat Levante 3-2 over the two legs.

The first leg will be played at Camp Nou while Estadi Cornella-El Prat will host the second leg.

In another derby, Real Betis and Sevilla will each other while Madrid sides Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano will also square off.

The other all-La Liga ties will see Valencia take on Granada, Athletic Bilbao up against Villarreal and Eibar playing Las Palmas.

Minnows Cadiz, who qualified after Real Madrid were kicked out of the competition for fielding an ineligible player during their first leg game, face Celta Vigo with the first leg taking place at Ramón de Carranza.

The first-leg ties will be played during the week of January 6 with the return matches scheduled for the week of January 13.
