Luis Suarez is hoping Barcelona will not suffer a dip in form after they beat River Plate 3-0 on Sunday in the Club World Cup final to lift the trophy.
Lionel Messi opened the scoring nine minutes before the break in Yokohama and Suarez netted twice in the second half to wrap up a successful 2015 for the European champions.
La Liga arch-rivals Real Madrid won the tournament last year, but their domestic challenge tailed off in the second half of the season as Barca went on to claim the first of three major trophies.
Suarez, who scored a hat-trick against Guangzhou Evergrande in the semi-finals on Thursday, has urged Luis Enrique's squad not to repeat the mistakes of Los Blancos.
"Always after competition like this, teams can have a dip. Our next challenge now is not to drop off, to keep challenging for trophies," the Uruguay international said.
"We must stay on the same path, we are the best team in the world. We are very happy to win the trophy, which was why we came here."
