AS Monaco midfielder Jeremy Toulalan admits that his team failed to show up as they exited the Europa League with a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Thursday.
A hattrick from Erik Lamela and a further goal from Tom Carroll saw the French side dumped out of the the competition with a whimper, and the former France international conceded that they simply weren't good enough.
"Individually and collectively, we weren't at the races," he said. "We lost 4-1 because there was a lot missing from our game.
"Now we need to recover and get back on track against Saint-Etienne on Sunday. If we're going to get back into Europe, we need to perform in the league."
Monaco find themselves fourth in the Ligue 1 standings ahead of their meeting with Saint-Etienne at Stade Louis II.
