Chelsea striker Diego Costa has hinted at a return to former club Atletico Madrid amid his struggles to reproduce his best form this season.
The Blues have been frustrated this season and are languishing in 14th position in the league standings, having already lost eight games.
Costa has similarly struggled for goals this season and has recently found himself dropped to the bench by manager Jose Mourinho.
The 27-year-old scored 20 goals in 27 appearances in his first season at Stamford Bridge after making a £32 million move from Atletico Madrid.
The Spain international was quizzed about a possible move back to his former club and he refused to rule out the possibility.
"You never know," he told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.
"Look at how well Filipe Luis is doing. Life is full of surprises. I always wish Atletico the best and always follow them and support them from afar."
Luis also struggled to settle at Chelsea in his first season and returned to Atletico in a £16 million deal during the off-season.
