Villarreal manager Marcelino Garcia is worried about how his defence will fare against Real Madrid after drawing 3-3 with Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.
Cedric Bakambu, Jonathan Dos Santos and Bruno Soriano all scored at Doosan Arena on Thursday, but the Spanish outfit also conceded three to the Czech side to finish second in Group E behind Rapid Wien.
A home match against Real Madrid is next up for the Yellow Submarine, and Marcelino is concerned that their defensive frailties will be exposed by the rampaging Blancos frontline.
"I'm worried about our defensive balance," he said. "Conceding so many goals makes it impossible to win games. We have to improve our defensive intensity because it's not at its best.
"If we defend like that against Real Madrid they might put seven past us. We really have to improve in this area. We're going to work hard to see if we can change it.
"Now, as runners-up, we have to face up to the situation. It's going to be complicated because there are some tough teams and we'll see how we're doing when the knockout stage begins.
"What I'm most worried about is the attitude in that first half, in which the team wasn't up to the level we want at any point. We lacked intensity without the ball and when we did have it we lacked judgement in attack and on the counter-attack.
"In the second half we improved a bit and we were capable of coming back but at 1-2 we weren't able to keep our advantage when it was time to finish the game off."
