Former Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo believes the club should stick with Jose Mourinho, despite their dismal start to the Premier League campaign.
Mourinho lead the Blues to the League and League Cup double last season but has seen his side lose an astonishing seven of the club's 12 matches so far this season, the club's worst start to a season since 1978 when they were relegated from the top flight.
But Di Matteo does not believe it's time to give up on the Portuguese tactician, insisting the former Porto manager has all the qualities to pull the squad out of their current slump.
"I really hope Mourinho is going to stay long term, stability is so important for the club," Di Matteo is quoted as saying by the Independent. "We have short memories but only four months ago we won the (league and League Cup) double.
"Chelsea have been so successful for the last 15 years and it can happen that you have a bad year but there is so much quality in the team and the club has one of the best managers in the world."
