Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini says that the club are interested in retaining the services of on-loan Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
The Poland international is in the Italian capital on a season-long loan from the Gunners, where he has made nine appearances to help the Giallorossi to their current position of third in the Serie A standings.
"We are working on it and would like to keep Szczesny," Sabatini said. "But knowing Arsenal it will be difficult to achieve that.
"In any case, Roma are already covered in that role for next season. Who did we get? I would never tell you that!"
With Petr Cech performing well since his switch to north London and David Ospina also on the books, it seems that there may not be room for the Pole back at Emirates Stadium, meaning that a permanent move to Italy would suit all parties.
