After having Thanos appear in one of their limited events last year, Epic Games have teased yet another crossover with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This time, Thanos will be accompanied by the Avengers when he walks back into the Fortnite battlefield following the release of much-awaited Avengers Endgame.
The event is set to be introduced on May 25, 2019, following the release of Avengers: Endgame, just as last year. Although the creators have not yet revealed the role of these Marvel characters in the upcoming update, one can be assured that it will be equally popular as the previous event in which Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet was hidden somewhere in the map and the player who found it would become the strongest on the battlefield.

In a tweet posted by Epic Games, we can see Captain America and his shield al0ngside the date of the update. this may hint towards the possible inclusion of Cap’s beloved character in Fortnite.
It has been widely rumoured that Captain America will die in Avengers Endgame, marking the end of an iconic decade in Marvel Cinematic Universe. Maybe this is the reason why people would be more inclined towards fighting as Captain America in the battlefield and rejoice the memory of an honoured superhero.
Additionally, Captain America’s Shield makes for a very strong weapon and could enable the players to walk under the raining bullets. Thanos will also be back and the former’s shield could be one of the most useful weapons against the Infinity Gauntlet if included again.
Although Epic Games have only teased Captain America’s inclusion in the game, we expect to see other Avengers as well. Thor’s Stormbreaker, Iron Man’s suit and Hulk’s Smash could be the other features included alongside weapons that align with the story of Avengers Endgame.
In less than a week, we will find out who are new heroes that will be a part of Fortnite for the first time and what will be their role. But we do know that it will be a limited event so make sure you don’t miss it.
Stay tuned for more updates.
