Ben Stokes is unlikely to bowl in England's second innings of the first Test against Sri Lanka at Headingley after leaving the field due to discomfort in his knee.
The allrounder left the field on day two after jarring his knee while bowling and even though he took the field on the third morning he wasn't on for long.
The left-handed batsman could be in doubt for the second Test against Sri Lanka, which starts in Durham on Friday.
The England selectors will choose a squad for the Durham Test after the current match but Warwickshire allrounder Chris Woakes now looks certain to be included.
Stokes scored 12 with the bat in England's first innings total of 298 before bowling seven overs and taking one wicket as Sri Lanka were 91 all out in their first innings, and forced to follow-on.
James Anderson was the bowling hero for England taking five wickets while Stuart Broad got four scalps.
