Sri Lanka seamer Dhammika Prasad will sit out his team's final warm-up game against Leicestershire and is a major doubt for the first Test against England, starting on 19 May, with shoulder injury.
Prasad suffered the injury while bowling in the tourists' first warm-up game against Essex, which ended in draw on Tuesday, and went for scan which proved inconclusive.
A statement on Sri Lanka's official website said: "Dhammika Prasad, who went off the field during the final session of play last evening due to a sore shoulder, has been attended to by team medical staff headed by physio Steve Mount.
"He will undergo a precautionary scan this afternoon to ascertain injury if any."
A right-arm seamer, Prasad was one of the stars on the tour to England in 2014 when his five-wicket haul set up a win in the second Test and an historic series victory.
Sri Lanka, who will play three Tests against England, play Leicestershire in a three-day game starting on Friday before going to Leeds to start preparing for the first Test at Headingley.
