The Kolkata Knight Riders have called on former South Africa wicketkeeper Mark Boucher as a consultant for the remainder of this season's Indian Premier League (IPL).
Boucher, who was forced to retire from all cricket due to an eye injury in 2012, will work with Robin Uthappa and Sheldon Jackson, who are the glovemen in the Knight Riders' squad.
Boucher has previously played in the IPL, having turned out for Royal Challengers Bangalore between 2008 and 2010 and the Knight Riders in 2011.
The 39-year-old played in 147 Tests and affected 999 dismissals from behind the stumps before his career was ended on a tour to England.
The Kolkata franchise is coached by former Proteas allrounder, and Boucher's good friend, Jacques Kallis.
Boucher will join a host of South African coaches at the tournament. Besides Kallis there is Delhi Daredevils coach Paddy Upton, Mumbai Indians fielding coach Jonty Rhodes, Rising Pune Supergiants bowling coach Eric Simons and Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling coach Allan Donald.
