Jos Buttler praised his captain Rohit Sharma after he helped the Mumbai Indians to their first victory of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season as they beat the Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.
England international Buttler scored a 22-ball 41 while Rohit hit an unbeaten 84 off 51 balls as Mumbai chased down a stiff target of 188 with five balls to spare to win by six wickets.
The right-handed Buttler, who scored a duck on his IPL debut on Saturday, credits Rohit for keeping him calm during their 66-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
Buttler told reporters: "It's great to have Rohit at the other end. He's a very calm character.
"He had everything under control, and the way he was playing he obviously had a lot of confidence that he will be there till the end and win the game.
"That obviously rubbed off on me that he was in such good form and was so calm, I think that got the adrenaline going. It really settled me down.
Mumbai next game is on Saturday when they take on the Gujarat Lions at home.
