The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are keen to add West Indies batting great Viv Richards to the coaching staff of the national team for THE upcoming World T20 after being impressed with his work in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Richards is a mentor for the Quetta Gladiators and has been getting rave reviews from players and media for the work he has done.
The former Windies great has said that he has enjoyed working in the PSL and would be open to a coaching role with the Pakistan team.
A source in the PCB told PTI: "Yes the board is very impressed with the way Richards has worked as mentor with the Quetta Gladiators team in the Pakistan Super League and also want him to mentor the Pakistan squad in the Asia Cup and World T20.
"They are trying to find a solution because the Board is keen Richards should mentor the Pakistan team but he has not agreed to anything as yet."
The World T20 starts in India in March.
