The Filipino American fighter made his MMA debut at Total Combat in 2009, in the years since then he has managed to take his record to 31-1, with nine of those coming from straight submission wins.
The bantamweight explained why he chose to sign with ONE FC over the UFC, saying he feels like Asia is home.
Striegl was quoted by MMA Weekly, "I'd been in touch with the UFC for a long time. They are a great organization and there was definitely traction there. It was an honor to have the two biggest promotions in the world interested in me, but the timing was perfect for me to sign with ONE FC because, at the end of the day, Asia's my home.
"I am definitely hoping to be on the Manila card in April because nothing compares to fighting in Manila in front of my home crowd. ONE FC has been making a huge push in the Philippines and Manila has an unbeatable crowd atmosphere on fight night and it would mean a whole lot to me to fight there for ONE FC."
"I've always had great support in Manila and after being away for so long, I think my supporters are really anticipating my return."
