UFC officials confirmed on Friday that tickets for UFC188, which takes place at the Mexico City Arena on June 13, have been sold out a week after they became available.
The announcement marks the second time that a trip to Mexico was sold out, after UFC 180 on November 15 last year also took place in front of a packed house.
Then, the UFC heavyweight title bout between Fabricio Werdum and Mark Hunt was the headline act, which the former won by virtue of a knock-out midway through the second round of the fight.
Werdrum will attempt to unify his interim belt when he takes on current UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez on June 13.
Officials added that tickets for UFC 189 went on sale on Friday and that they are nearly sold out too.
The July 11 event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas will be headlined by the featherweight title bout between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor, and the welterweight fight between champion Robbie Lawler against Rory MacDonald.
