Fighters arrange match using Twitter

Usually the tough task of putting together high-profile fights falls to people like UFC matchmakers Sean Shelby and Joe Silva, but the two fighters have taken the middlemen out of the equation using Twitter.

Pearson asked his fans on Twitter where they would like to see him fight next, and after a response fans wanted him to fight Thomson, the two men have agreed to the fight.

British lightweight Pearson, who is not ranked, will face Thomson who is ranked No.9. Pearson looked good in his last fight knocking out Sam Stout at UFC 185 and earning himself another shot at ranked opposition.
