Cris Cyborg will face Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 219, it has been confirmed.
UFC officials have spent several weeks trying to arrange a main event for the December 30 Las Vegas showdown, with proposed bouts involving current champions Conor McGregor and Tyron Woodley both coming to naught.
But an agreement has now been finalised for UFC featherweight champion Cyborg to make the first defence of her title against Ronda Rousey’s first conqueror Holm.

With Rousey unlikely to fight again in the Octagon, a Cyborg-Holm clash is the biggest women’s bout available for the UFC.
Cyborg will go into the clash as the firm favourite after the Brazilian boasts an unbeaten streak stretching back to 2005.
She knocked out Tonya Evinger in the third round of their UFC 214 clash during the summer to claim the vacant featherweight championship.
Holm suffered a controversial loss to Germaine de Randamie in the inaugural featherweight title match at UFC 208, before the Dutch fighter surrendered the belt.
