Derek Brunson pulled off a straightforward win over Lyoto Machida in their middleweight fight on Saturday at UFC Fight Night in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Brunson, the number seven ranked contender left the home fans disappointed with a devastating display of power as he finished off the Brazilian in style in the final minute of the first round.
The American swung a big left hand that caught Machida on the chin and caught him again as he fell to the canvas.

Brunson then got on top of the now dazed former light heavyweight champion and started pounding away before the referee jumped in to stop the contest.
It was not a good night for local MMA fans as Demian Maia also suffered defeat in the co-main event.
Maia went up against Colby Covington, and it was the American who triumphed with a unanimous decision after three rounds that saw lots of striking and very little ground work.
Chaos came out on top after the judges scored their bloody battle 29-27, 30-27, 30-26 in the American’s favour.
