Amanda Nunes will semi-main event UFC 215 after Dana White’s pledge that she would never headline another event.
Nunes was due to headline UFC 213 in July, only to pull out just 24 hours before the event after claiming she was ill.
There were question marks over whether Nunes was fit enough to defend her women’s bantamweight title, despite the Brazilian insisting she was suffering from sinusitis.

But in the wake of Nunes’ withdrawal, UFC president White said the 29-year-old would not headline another show.
That has largely proved to be the case after the line-up for UFC 215 was announced, with Nunes and Shevchenko relegated to the semi-main event.

The show in Edmonton, Canada, on September 10, will instead be headlined by Demetrious Johnson against Ray Borg for the flyweight championship.
The third fight on the card is also an intriguing one, with former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos facing up-and-coming Francis Ngannou.
