Jones wants Silva fight on Mayweather-McGregor undercard

Veteran former boxing champion Roy Jones Jr wants to compete on the undercard of any Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather superfight.

Jones Jr was asked for his thoughts on the proposed bout between the UFC superstar and the all-time boxing great and he had a short and sweet answer.

“I think if you put Roy Jones Jr. versus Anderson Silva as the co-main event then you got yourself a good doggone fight card,” Jones Jr. told FightHype.com.

Back then, UFC president Dana White immediately squashed the idea and nothing but rumors ever came of it.

But now that Mayweather vs. McGregor is an actual possibility, there could be another MMA vs Boxing match added to the card.
