Mayweather tells Rousey it’s not the end of the world

Following Ronda Rousey’s devastating loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather had some motivating words for the former champion.

Rousey's comeback to the UFC lasted just 48 seconds as a rampant Nunes unleashed a series of devastating punches on her way to retaining the women's bantamweight title.

Mayweather, an avid MMA fan, has tried to soften some of those blows with a few choice words for Rousey.

"I want Ronda Rousey to hold your head up, stay focused, keep believing," said the 39-year-old in a video released by Fight Hype.

"A true champion can bounce back. You'll be okay – everything will be okay.

"I think the female that she faced…she was rugged and tough, so we can't take anything away from the girl that she faced. The girl that Ronda Rousey faced, she was a tough competitor, and she was the better woman that night.

"But Ronda Rousey has a lot left. She has a lot left. I don't want her to think that this is the end of the world."
