Rousey: Winning this fight all that matters

Ronda Rousey isn’t doing much talking in the build-up to UFC 207, but is getting her point across all the same.

The former UFC champion has largely created a media blackout ahead of her comeback fight, perhaps conscious of not repeating the same mistakes she made prior to her defeat against Holly Holm.

And while Dana White once put his foot down and pulled Conor McGregor from a UFC fight card for not honouring his media commitments, he appears to be allowing Rousey to get away without featuring in an open workout or a pre-fight press conference.

Rousey does appear in the new episode of ‘UFC Embedded’, taking her pre-fight photos while making it clear that she’s only got one thing on her mind and nothing else is going to invade her space.

“I don’t care about anything except for winning this fight and I’m not spending energy on anything else,” Rousey said.

Rousey also sent a not-so-subtle reminder that her fight at UFC 207 takes place on Friday night as opposed to the standard Saturday night card for the promotion due to the event happening a day prior to New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas.

Also in the new episode, Rousey’s opponent Amanda Nunes spends her Christmas in a hotel while taking a break to do some laundry ahead of the event.
