Kawajiri won with scores 29-28 across the board, he now improves his record to 34-8-2 while Siver falls to 22-11 with 1 NC.
The Japanese fighter looked good overall and mixed things up nicely from the start. Siver did land some hard shots and made it difficult for Kawajiri with his takedown attempts.
The second round was pretty much the same until Kawajiri was able to get the takedown midway in the round.
Siver did not give up but was smothered by his opponent and with a less than a minute remaining Kawajiri got the mount position, Siver managed though, to get free very late in the round.
In the final frame Siver was taken down to the mat but was up again quickly. Kawajiri kept going for the takedown and got it right and kept the bout grounded until the end of the round to get the win.
