UFC president Dana White has admitted that he is open to the idea of Mickey Gall’s next fight being against Sage Northcutt.
Gall has won both his fights in the UFC, with his most recent victory coming against debutant CM Punk, who he defeated via submission in the first round of their bout via at UFC 203 on Saturday.
After cruising to victory against Punk, Gall took the opportunity to say that he wanted to face Northcutt next as the 20-year-old is a more talented and younger competitor.
“I want ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt. I think that boy’s corny. I want to punch the spikes out of his hair,” Gall said. “They say we’re Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight young guns. Let us bang it out.”
White has already expressed his interest in the bout and confirmed that Northcutt, who has three of his four UFC fights to date, has also agreed to go up against Gall.
“After (Gall) called him out, Sage’s team hit me up and they want the fight, so we’ll make it happen,” White said.
