Eye told MMAjunkie, that while she does not have personal issues with Tate, she is aware that to go further in UFC she needs to win Saturday's bout.
Tate is more experienced than Eye having fought women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey twice and is a former Strikeforce champion.
"You know what? This is your guys' first time seeing me on a big stage and your first time for me doing some of this stuff," Eye told MMAjunkie.
"I've been very fortunate that I've had my opportunities in different ways. I feel like this is not anything new for me. It's new for you to see me this way."
Eye said that all she is interested in is winning the fight and hopefully, will face the winner of Rousey's UFC 190 fight with Bethe Correia, who fight in Brazil on August 1.
"I think we've all learned in fighting now that, no matter how much we might think someone is going to win, upsets happen all the time," Eye said.
"Who knows if it's Bethe's day? And who knows if it's Ronda's day? No matter what, when I win this fight, I will have my opportunity to put real gold around my waist.
"I'm a single woman. I'm not married. So, believe me, if I can put real gold around my waist, that's better than what any man can do for me," she added.
