UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will defend his title against Alistair Overeem at UFC 2014 on September 10 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
The event will be the first in Ohio since UFC 96 were staged at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus on March 9, 2009.
The 33-year-old Miocic, who is a graduate from the local an Eastlake North High School, won the heavyweight title earlier this month when he knocked out Fabricio Werdum in the main event of UFC 198.

The bout against Overeem (41-14) will be one of two fighters who have been on a roll in the UFC recently, Miocic (15-2) has lost just once in his last seven fights, while the challenger has on a four-fight winning streak, the longest in the division.
Both fighters stand at six-foot four, although Overeem tips the scales at 265 pounds, 25 more than the champion.
Miocic trains at the Strong Style Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness Center in near-by Independence.
The start times and remainder of the fight card are yet to be announced.
