Currently ranked #3 in the division standings, the Liverpool-born Till will no doubt be the favourite in this match, especially with his countrymen inside the The O2 Arena cheering him on.

UFC Fights

After going 12-0 in the regional circuit, Till caught the eye of MMA’s biggest promotion in 2015. He justified the massive hype behind him by viscously knocking out Wendell Oliveira with elbows in his UFC debut. After a draw against Nicolas Dalby, he scored unanimous decision victories versus Jessin Ayari and Bojan Velickovic.

Till wanted a step up in competition in his next bout, drawing a big name in Donald Cerrone. He passed with flying colors by finishing the UFC vet in just under a round. He edged Stephen Thompson in his first five-round match, but failed to win the strap against Tyron Woodley in his last fight. He currently holds a 17-1-1 record.

Height and build

There’s no denying Till’s massive upside as a complete MMA fighter, but he often got criticized by pundits for his insistence to cut a ton of weight to make it to 170-lbs. Till often dwarfs his opponents come fight time (he stands at 1.83 m and has a 74-and-a-half reach), but has already missed the Welterweight limit twice in his career.

Like most UFC fighters, Till proudly displays several artwork on his body. The 26-year-old fighter has a tattoo on his left arm of the mother of his child for a birthday gift. He also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck with the name of his sister Caitlin.

Aside form his fighting chops, Till is also perhaps best remembered for his thick English accent. “The Gorilla” has certainly not shied away from the mic, often voicing his belief that he is the best fighter in the world regardless of the division.

Till’s popularity has skyrocketed since joining the UFC, and he currently has 605 thousand followers on Instagram, as of writing time. He mostly shares clips of his intense training as well as photos of his family.

Assault and stabbing

Back in 2012, Till became a victim of a stabbing incident that left him with two prominent scars on his back. He reportedly fought “multiple bouncers and patrons” during a riot inside a night club in Liverpool.

After the horrendous attack, his coach advised him to get out of the country to avoid any more incidents and focus all his time and energy to MMA. Till moved to Brazil and stayed in the country for three-and-a-half years, where he honed his deadly striking game.
