Manny Pacquiao entertained Heisman Trophy-winning former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow at his gym in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Pacquiao is preparing there for his high-profile fight with Floyd Mayweather jr on May 2 in Las Vegas and welcomed the Filipino-born Tebow with open arms.
Tebow, a devout Christian, was born in the Phillipines to American missionary parents.
“Awesome being with my Filipino and Christian brother,” Tebow posted on his Instagram account.
Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum was also present on the day and together with Tebow, watched the eight-division world champion spar for seven rounds.
According to Pacquiao’s spokesman Fred Sternburg, Tebow and Pacquiao knows each other well and enjoyed a tender embrace when the former Dallas Cowboys ace arrived at the gym.
