Klitschko though has to first beat his WBO mandatory challenger Tyson Fury before that can happen.
Wilder will be a test for Wladimir as he is unbeaten in 33 fights with 32 knockouts.
The Ukrainian, Klitschko, who has only lost three times in 64 fights is keen on facing Wilder in a unification bout.
"It's true I never held the WBC title and a unification fight against Deontay Wilder would be fantastic," Klitschko said via Fightnews.com.
"It's not going to happen next. I think Deontay need to defend his title first time, and probably such fight can happen at the beginning of next year."
