Claudio Marrero knocked out Carlos Zambrano of Peru just 90 seconds into featherweight title fight in Las Vegas on Saturday to capture the IBO title and become interim WBA champion.
The Dominican Republic fighter caught Zambrano with a jab and then a right to send him crashing to the canvas, to take his record to 22-1 (16 KOs) while Zambrano fell to 26-1.

On Saturday, Donnie Nietes of the Philippines captured the IBF flyweight title by defeating Thai challenger Komgrich Nantapech via a unanimous decision in Cebu, Philippines.
The win, scored 115-113, 117-111 and 117-111 by the three judges, means Nietes captured his third world championship.
Nietes started the fight strongly taking all the early rounds, but had to cope with a mid-fight comeback from Nantapech.
The home favourite rallied to finish the fight strongly and claim the decision and take his record to 40-1-4.
