Chris Eubank says he is “waiting to hear” from Billy Joe Saunders after demanding the world middleweight champion rematches his son.
Chris Eubank Jr lost to Saunders by split decision back in 2014 and his father recently exchanged blows with the WBO world middleweight champion on social media.
“He said on Twitter that he is ready for the fight but I’ve seen nothing from him,” Eubank Sr told the Express.
“Maybe he has had second thoughts. He’s given his word to the boxing fans that he will have the rematch with Junior so now we’re waiting to hear from him and his management team.
“We welcome the rematch; however we’re not waiting around because we have offers from abroad.”
So long as you keep your word and don't prove the people calling you a coward right. You young man are good to go https://t.co/0mHZMapcLL

Kell Brook is set to fight Gennady Golovkin on September 10 in one of the biggest bouts in world boxing after Eubank Jr couldn’t come to an agreement with the Kazakhstani’s camp.
However, Eubank Sr still envisages British champion Eubank Jr facing Golovkin in the future.
“Junior is the British champion but we’re not held by the British championship – we want to keep it but if we have to relinquish it and move on to other things we will do.
“Junior has to prove it now and to prove it he has to have the fights. And Golovkin is the one he can prove it against. If he fights Saunders, if Saunders comes out of hiding, then I think he will beat him.
“I think he’ll outbox him this time. But I don’t think it proves that he is the best in the world by beating Saunders. When he beats Golovkin he proves he’s the best in the world as a pound-for-pound best.”
