Former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield believes unbeaten Anthony Joshua should in the near future challenge Wladimir Klitschko.
Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) won his fight against Gary Cornish in 97 seconds on Saturday will be in the ring again to face Dillian Whyte on December 12 at the 02 Arena in England.
The 39-year-old Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) defends his, The Ring, WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles against Tyson Fury on October 24 at the Esprit Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Holyfield believes that Joshua should challenge Klitschko adding that the only way to be a champion is to beat a champion.
"Anthony Joshua is a great fighter. I got a chance to see him in the Olympics. He is a graceful big man," said Holyfield.
"I think you have to shoot for Klitschko, you have to shoot for one of the guys who is a champion. The only way to be a champion is to beat a champion. That's the risk you have to take."
Holyfield added that he felt that the British fighter had great skill and talent.
"Anthony has great skills," said Holyfield. "He has the talent. He has the size and he just has to step up. His size and his strength, he can shift gears."
