Irish superstar Conor McGregor has never been one to shy away from a challenge – and WWE appear to have an interest in his services.
Conor McGregor has already shown he is willing to try his hand at different sports. Could competing in WWE be next?
UFC superstar McGregor appeared to backtrack on plans to quit mixed martial arts last week, while he has already faced Floyd Mayweather in the boxing ring.
And the Irishman was paying attention to WWE on Sunday as compatriot Becky Lynch won the first ever all-female main event by beating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a triple-threat match at Wrestlemania 35.
The two have conversed in the past on social media and McGregor took to his Twitter account to congratulate Lynch on her victory.
He also had a response to WWE chief Stephanie McMahon’s claims that she would be keen to bring McGregor and ex-NFL star Rob Gronkowski to the division.
“Congrats to Ireland’s Becky Lynch, the WWE’s first champ-champ,” he wrote. “Wow!
Congrats to Irelands Becky Lynch, the WWE’s first Champ Champ.
What a match these ladies put on! Ronda Rousey is something special in that ring, as is Charlotte Flair of the Flair dynasty!

There is already a long-standing link between the UFC and WWE, with Brock Lesnar and Rousey each fighting in both competitions.
