NBA roundup: Westbrook scores seventh triple-double

Russell Westbrook scored his seventh triple-double of the season to help the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 90-87 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Westbrook finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while Steven Adams added 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Brandon Paul had a chance to tie the match in the dying seconds, but missed his three-pointer and the Thunder pounced on the rebound.

Stephen Curry bagged 30 points in 30 minutes, as the Golden State Warriors overpowered the Miami Heat 123-95.

The third quarter proved to be the decisive portion of the match, as the Warriors outscored the Heat 37-17 after their lead had been only two at half-time.

Despite a season-high total of 30 points from Austin Rivers, the Los Angeles Clippers suffered a third successive defeat after going down 112-106 to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jimmy Butler – who finished with 30 points to his name – scored nine in a row in the final seven minutes for the Timberwolves, to overcome the Clippers’ advantage.

Nikola Vucevic’s 34 points saw the Orlando Magic narrowly get the better of the New York Knicks 105-100.

With the scores tied midway through the fourth quarter, Vucevic scored eight in a row – a short basket and then two three-pointers. That put the Magic ahead and they never looked back.

The Houston Rockets made it seven wins on the spin after a 118-95 triumph against the Los Angeles Lakers.

James Harden scored 36 points, while Eric Gordon and Chris Paul chipped in with 22 and 21 respectively.
