NBA Draft 2019: Duke freshman Cam Reddish declares

Cam Reddish

The decision comes one day after teammate and star forward RJ Barrett declared.

Cam Reddish is the latest Duke star to end his collegiate career early.

The Blue Devils freshman wing on Thursday announced that he will enter the 2019 NBA Draft.

Duke spokesman Mike DeGeorge confirmed Reddish has hired an agent.

The decision comes one day after teammate RJ Barrett declared.

“This season was epic, and I am so thankful to have had Duke as a part of the foundation that prepared me to play at the next level,” Reddish wrote. “Never forget — I am a Blue Devil for life. Proud to announce that I will be entering the 2019 NBA Draft.”

Reddish, 19, averaged 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 36 games this season on 35.7 percent shooting from the field and 33.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

He missed Duke’s victory over Virginia Tech in the Sweet 16 with a left leg injury but returned to the lineup for the team’s loss to Michigan State in the Elite Eight, finishing with eight points.

Expect fellow Duke star Zion Williamson to join Reddish and Barrett in declaring soon.
