Stephen Curry was injured in the Warriors’ second-to-last game of the NBA regular season, but Steve Kerr says the issue is not serious.
Coach Steve Kerr says Warriors star Stephen Curry should be fit for the start of the NBA playoffs after suffering a sprained foot Tuesday night.
Kerr said Curry’s injury is not serious after his team extended its winning streak to six games by defeating the Pelicans, 112-103.
“He’s in there icing it,” Kerr said. “We think he’s going to be fine. He tweaked it, but we weren’t going to mess around.”
Curry left the Warriors’ second-to-last game of the regular season after falling in the first quarter in New Orleans.
The defending champions announced that the two-time MVP would not be back on court “for precautionary reasons.”
The Warriors face the Grizzlies on Wednesday in Memphis in the final game of the regular season, with the playoffs set to start this weekend.
