CJ McCollum injury update: X-rays negative on left leg, will undergo MRI on Sunday

CJ McCollum went down awkwardly after missing a layup in the third quarter of the Blazers’ matchup with the Spurs.

The Blazers may have been dealt a serious blow.

Guard CJ McCollum had to be helped to the locker room by teammates after suffering an apparent leg injury in the third quarter of the team’s 108-103 loss to the Spurs on Saturday.

He looked as if he was holding his lower leg when he was helped off.

The Raptors announced it was a left leg injury.

Head coach Terry Stotts said after the game x-rays were negative. McCollum will undergo an MRI in Portland on Sunday.

McCollum came into Saturday’s game averaging 21.5 points and 4.1 rebounds on the season.
