Irving said the Warriors “had poise but they also got pretty lucky, too,” but Curry didn’t seem to agree.
Stephen Curry didn’t appreciate Kyrie Irving’s comments following the Warriors’ 115-111 victory over the Celtics Saturday at TD Garden.
The Celtics star said the Warriors “had poise but they also got pretty lucky, too.” Reporters then told Curry what Irving had said, but the Warriors guard didn’t seem to agree as he scoffed at Irving’s comments.
“He said we got lucky? Pretty lucky? I don’t know what that means,” Curry responded. “In terms of just forcing them into tough shots, I mean, they could have made them.
“Those turnovers really could have hurt us, but over the course of 48 (minutes) we gave ourselves a good opportunity to win the game.”
