NBA Wrap: Cousins stars as Pelicans down Cavs

DeMarcus Cousins scored 29 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and 10 assists as the New Orleans Pelicans eased past the Cleveland Cavaliers 123-101 on Saturday.

Anthony Davis added 30 points and 14 rebounds, while Jrue Holiday chipped in with 29 points as the Pelicans won a third game in four.

Kevin Love top-scored for the Cavs with 26 points while LeBron James added 18 points and Dwyane Wade hit 15.

In Memphis, Chandler Parsons drained 24 points as the Grizzlies defeated Houston 103-89.

Ryan Anderson led the Rockets with 22 points, while James Harden contributed 20 points and eight assists.

Clint Capela added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Houston.

Kyrie Irving finished with 24 points as Boston won a fourth straight win over Miami 96-90.

Jayson Tatum added 20 and Marcus Smart scored 16 for the Celtics, who earned an eighth straight win over Miami.

Irving sealed the win with 57 seconds left with a three-pointer for a seven-point lead.

Goran Dragic scored 22 points for Miami, while Josh Richardson and James Johnson scored 16 each.

Oklahoma City defeated Chicago 101-69 thanks to 21 points from Carmelo Anthony while Paul George added 20.

Russell Westbrook earned his third triple double of the season with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists, meaning he has now completed a triple-double against every league opponent in his career.

Steven Adams and Raymond Felton contributed 12 points each for the Thunder.

Lauri Markkanen scored 15 points while Justin Holiday (11) and Robin Lopez (10) for the Bulls.

Ben Simmons continued his good start to the season with 23 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds as Philadelphia edged Dallas 112-110.

Joel Embiid also added 23 points as the 76ers won in Dallas for the first time in more than 12 years.

Dallas had a chance to level the game with 0.2 seconds left with Yogi Ferrell at the free throw line, but after missing the first attempt, Dallas couldn’t score on the rebound after he intentionally missed the second.

Simmons won the battle of rookie point guards with Dallas’ Dennis Smith Jr, who countered with 12 points and eight assists, but struggled with six turnovers.

Harrison Barnes led Dallas with 25 points.
