NBA Wrap: Spurs break record for winning seasons

San Antonio recorded an NBA-record 20th consecutive winning season, beating Indiana 110-106 on Monday night.

The Spurs edged past the Utah Jazz, who had 19 winning seasons between 1984 and 2004.

Kawhi Leonard netted 32 points for San Antonio Spurs while LeMarcus Aldridge hit 19.

Paul George with 27 points and Myles Turner (22) top-scored for the Pacers.

Orlando’s Evan Fournier scored 24 points while Elfrid Payton added 20 off the bench as the Magic beat the Heat to break a streak of four losses.

Serge Ibaka hit 17 points and Nik Vucevic scored 13 points with 17 rebounds for the Magic.

Dion Waiters scored 23 points for the Heat, while Goran Dragic added 22.

Miami have now lost two straight after a 13-game winning streak.

The 76ers beat the Hornets 105-99 thanks to 18 points from Dario Saric, who also pulled down 11 rebounds.

Charlotte’s Nic Batum scored 16 points as the Hornets lost a 10th game in 11.

Robert Covington hit 17 points for Philadelphia while T.J. McConnell added 14.

Kemba Walker scored 29 points for the Hornets.

Brooklyn lost a 13th straight game, going down 112-103 to Memphis as Mike Conley scored 32 points and Marc Gasol added 19 points.

Brandan Wright (17) and Vince Carter (14) also hit double figures for the Grizzlies.

Brook Lopez and Spencer Dinwiddie each scored 17 for the Nets.

In Milwaukee, the Bucks beat Detroit 102-89 after Greg Monroe scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Michael Beasley added 23 points for Milwaukee.

Marcus Morris led Detroit’s scorers with 26 points, while Andre Drummond added 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Isaiah Thomas scored 29 points while Marcus Smart added 19 points as the Boston Celtics beat the Mavericks 111-98.

Rookie Yogi Ferrell netted 20 points for Dallas.

Harrison Barnes (19) and Dirk Nowitzki and Wesley Matthews (18 apiece) also hit double figures for the Mavericks.

The Denver Nuggets gave Golden State a taste of their own medicine with an NBA record tying 24 three-pointers  in a 132-110 home win.

Nikola Jokic earned a second career triple double hit 17 points, 21 rebounds and 12 assists in the win.

Juancho Hernangomez scored 27, Wil Barton added 24 and Jameer Nelson scored 23 for Denver.

Kevin Durant led the Warriors with 25 points on an off-night for Steph Curry.

In Salt Lake City, Blake Griffin scored 26 points and grabbed 20 rebounds for the Clippers as they downed the Jazz 88-72.

DeAndre Jordan hit 10 points while Austin Rivers added 15.

Rudy Gobert scored 10 points for Utah.

Anthony Davis scored six late points for New Orleans, the last two with 40.3 seconds to play as the Pelicans beat the Suns 110-108.

The Suns missed three chances in the final seconds.

Davis finished with 24 points while Jrue Holiday added 18.

Eric Bledsoe hit 37 for Phoenix.

The Thunder missed an incredible 24 consecutive shots as they crashed 120-98 to the Wizards.

Bradley Beal hit 22 points for Washington, while John Wall added 15 and 14 assists as the duo shut down OKC star man Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook scored just 17 points.

Markieff Morris scored 23 points for the Wizards.
