NBA Wrap: Durant wins on OKC return

Kevin Durant scored 34 points on his return to Oklahoma City as the Warriors beat the Thunder 130-114 on Saturday.

It was Durant’s first return since leaving the Thunder for Golden State after eight seasons in Oklahoma and he was jeered loudly the whole night.

Durant’s haul came despite run ins with Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook and Andre Roberson.

Westbrook ended with 47 points and 11 rebounds.



LeBron James and Kyrie Irving bagged 27 points each as Cleveland defeated Denver 125-109.

James also grabbed 12 assists as the defending NBA champions won their fifth game in six.

Nikola Jokic scored 27 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for Denver.

Nerlens Noel, Robert Covington and Dario Saric each lead the 76ers with 19 points each as they snapped Miami’s 13 game streak with a 117-109 win in Philadelphia.

Goran Dragic scored 30 points for the Heat, whose winning run was the longest this season in the NBA.

Philadelphia had a total of seven players in double figures.

Blake Griffin sank 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Austin Rivers added 18 points for Los Angeles as they defeated Charlotte 107-102.

Griffin was just two assists short of a second triple-double in three games. Jamal Crawford scored 22 off the bench.

Nicolas Batum had 25 points as Charlotte lost their ninth game in the last 10.

Milwaukee beat Indiana 116-100 thanks to 20 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds from Giannis Antetokoumpo.

Mirza Teletovic scored 19 points, and Malcolm Brogdon and Greg Monroe added 17 each.

C.J. Miles bagged 23 points, while Monta Ellis and Myles Turner each added 18 points for Indiana.

James Harden scored 40 points as the Rockets overwhelmed Phoenix 133-102 in Houston.

Devin Booker had 18 points for the Suns, who were without starters Eric Bledsoe and Tyson Chandler, It was Phoenix’s ninth loss in 11 games.

Wesley Matthews scored 20 points in the first quarter for Dallas as they crushed Orlando 112-80..

Dirk Nowitzki added 14 points as the Mavericks won for the sixth time in eight games.

Bismack Biyombo scored 15 points for the Magic, who lost a fourth straight game.

In other action the Celtics defeated the Jazz 112-104 thanks to 29 points from Isaiah Thomas.
