NBA Wrap: Griffin stars as Clippers win in New York

Blake Griffin scored a season-high 32 points as LA beat New York 119-115 on Wednesday night.

Carmelo Anthony had 28 points for New York, but also missed a chance to tie the game with a 3-pointer down near the end.

Griffin then put away a free throw with 5.9 seconds left to clinch the win.

The late drama on the court was matched by early drama off it as former Knicks star Charles Oakley was ejected and then arrested after a touchline scuffle with security in the first quarter.

DeAndre Jordan added 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Clippers.

Kristaps Porzingis hit 27 for the Knicks.

Hassan Whiteside was again the star, draining 23 points and pulling down 16 rebounds as the Miami Heat extended their winning streak to 12 games with a 106-88 win over the Bucks.

The Bucks lost Jabari Parker with a sprained left knee in the third quarter.

James Johnson scored 20 for the Heat while Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 22 points and Parker 14.

Kyle Korver scored a season-high 29 and LeBron James chipped in with 25 as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Indiana Pacers 132-117.

Kyrie Irving added 29 points for the Cavs.

C.J. Miles top scored for the Pacers with 23 points, while Jeff Teague added 22 points and 14 assists.

San Antonio beat Philadelphia 111-103 thanks to 32 points from Kawhi Leonard.

Tony Parker added 18 while Jahlil Okafor scored 20 points for the 76ers and grabbed eight rebounds

Dario Saric scored 20 for Philadelphia, which has lost five straight games.

The Brooklyn Nets sank to a 11th straight loss, going down 114-110 in overtime to Washington.

Bradley Beale scored 31 points, while John Wall (23) and Otto Porter Jr. (20) also scored big.

Jason Smith hit 15 points and Marcin Gortat scored 14 for the Wizards, who recorded an eighth win in nine.

Bojan Bogdanovic top scored for the Nets with 21.

Porter hit two free throws with 1:21 left in overtime to break a 107-107 tie and give the Wizards the edge.

In Atlanta, the Hawks held off a late charge to beat Denver 117-106.

Dennis Schroder dropped 24 points and made 10 assists for the Hawks, who scored a season-high 72 points in the first half.

Paul Millsap scored 23 points for Atlanta while Wilson Chandler led Denver with 24 points.

Andre Drummond scored 24 points and pulled down 17 rebounds as Detroit defeated the Lakers 121-102.

Jon Leuer netted 20 points for the Pistons, and Tobias Harris added 19.

Julius Randle and Lou Williams each scored 17 points for Los Angeles..

The Grizzlies prevailed in Memphis thanks to 23 points from Mike Conley, while Marc Gasol chipped in with 19 as the Grizzlies beat the Phoenix Suns 110-91.

Six Grizzlies reached double figures as the home side won its sixth in the last seven. Troy Daniels added 14 points while JaMychal Green ended with 11.

Devin Booker hit 20 for Phoenix while Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight each scored 16 for Phoenix.

Andrew Wiggins netted 31 points as Tyus Jones sank a 3-pointer with just 19.5 seconds left to see the Minnesota Timberwolves past the Toronto Raptors 112-109.

Karl-Anthony Towns added 29 points and 14 rebounds to help end a four-game losing streak for Minnesota.

Shabazz Muhammad scored 22 points off the bench.

DeMar DeRozan hit 30 points while DeMarre Carroll scored 19 points for Toronto.

In New Orleans, Joe Johnson scored 27 points and George Hill hit 19 as Utah beat the Pelicans 127-94 for a fourth straight win.

Gordon Hayward scored 17 points while Rudy Gobert scored 10 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for Utah.

Anthony Davis could only manage 12 points for New Orleans, for whom Terrence Jones scored 21 points and Jrue Holiday 15.
