NBA Wrap: Irving’s last-second shot sinks Warriors

In a rematch of the NBA Finals, Kyrie Irving nailed the game-winner with 3.4 seconds left to hand the Cleveland Cavaliers a 109-108 win over the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day.

Irving finished with 25 points, 10 assists and six rebounds, while LeBron James chipped in with 31 points and 13 rebounds.

Kevin Durant had 36 points and 15 rebounds for the Warriors.

Elsewhere, a 27-point night by Isaiah Thomas saw the Boston Celtics defeat the New York Knicks 119-114, while LaMarcus Aldridge dropped 33 points and grabbed nine rebounds to guide the San Antonio Spurs to a 119-100 win over the Chicago Bulls.

In the final two games of the day, the Oklahoma City Thunder downed the Minnesota Timberwolves 112-100 courtesy of Russell Westbrook’s 31 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds, while the Los Angeles Lakers triumphed over rivals the Los Angeles Clippers 111-102.
