NBA Wrap: Cavaliers too strong for Bucks

The Cleveland Cavaliers recorded a second straight win over the Milwaukee Bucks to move a game and a half clear in the NBA Eastern Conference on Wednesday night.

Kyrie Irving starred for the Cavs, recording 31 points and a career-best 13 assists, while LeBron James chipped in with 29 points as Cleveland moved to 21-6 for the season after a 113-102 triumph.

Elsewhere, the Houston Rockets saw off the Phoenix Suns 125-111 thanks to 27 points and 14 assists from James Harden, while Marc Gasol scored 38 points as the Memphis Grizzlies saw off the Detroit Pistons 98-86.

Russell Westbrook was the star of the show, chalking up 42 points and 10 rebounds as Oklahoma City Thunder beat the New Orleans Pelicans 121-110, while the Sacramento Kings edged out the Utah Jazz 94-93.

The struggling Dallas Mavericks grabbed only their seventh win of the season as they saw off the Portland Trailblazers, just, 96-95, while the Washington Wizards beat the Chicago Bulls 107-97 and the Minnesota Timberwolves got the better of the Atlanta Hawks, winning 92-84.
