NBA Wrap: Harden stars as Rockets win again

The Houston Rockets recorded a ninth straight NBA win as James Harden notched up his sixth triple-double of the season in a 122-100 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday.

Harden had 29 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds, while the impressive Rockets threw an NBA record 24 three-pointers in a comprehensive win.

Elsewhere, Blake Griffin scored 20 points as the in-form Los Angeles Clippers edged out the Miami Heat 102-98, while Isaiah Thomas notched up 26 points as the Boston Celtics ended their three-game losing streak in beating the Charlotte Hornets 96-88.

The Washington Wizards eased to a 122-108 triumph over the Detroit Pistons thanks to 29 points from John Wall, while Giannis Antetokounmpo starred in the Milwaukee Bucks‘ 95-69 win over the Chicago Bulls.

The Los Angeles Lakers ended an eight-game losing stretch as they beat the Philadelphia 76ers 100-89, while Dwight Howard had 27 points as the Atlanta Hawks saw off the Toronto Raptors 125-121 and DeMarcus Cousins scored 22 points to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 96-92 success over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Nikola Vucevic and Evan Fournier both netted 21 points as the Orlando Magic beat the Brooklyn Nets 118-111 and the Utah Jazz got the better of the struggling Dallas Mavericks 103-100.
