NBA Wrap: Thompson drops 60 as Warriors thrash Pacers

Klay Thompson was unstoppable on Monday as he scored a career-high 60 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 142-106 win over the Indiana Pacers.

Thompson, who scored 40 points in the first half alone, made 21 of the 33 shots he attempted, which included eight three-pointers.

Paul George scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Pacers.

LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love combined to score 86 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers downed the Toronto Raptors 116-112.

James dropped 34 points, while Love had 28 points and 14 rebounds. Irving, meanwhile, chipped in with 24 points.

DeMar DeRozan had 31 points for the Raptors.

The Denver Nuggets won their eighth game of the season following a 106-98 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Danilo Gallinari scored 24 points for the Nuggets, while Will Barton added 22 points and eight rebounds.

Ersan Ilyasova, Sergio Rodriguez and Dario Saric scored 17 points apiece for the Sixers.

The Washington Wizards snapped a two-game losing streak after they triumphed over the Brooklyn Nets 118-113.

John Wall registered a double-double in his side’s win, which consisted of 25 points and 13 assists.

Brook Lopez led the Nets in scoring with 25 points.

Russell Westbrook recorded his sixth triple-double in a row as the Oklahoma City Thunder skirted past the Atlanta Hawks 102-99.

Westbrook scored 32 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out 12 assists. He also registered a steal and a block.

Paul Millsap scored a team-high 24 points for the Hawks.

It was a close affair at the United Center, but the Portland Trail Blazers emerged victorious, beating the Chicago Bulls 112-110.

Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum worked in tandem to score 54 points, with the former dropping 30 points and the latter finishing with 24.

Dwyane Wade was the Bulls’ top-scorer with 34 points.

LaMarcus Aldridge made a hook shot with 21 seconds remaining to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 97-96 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Aldrige ended up scoring 18 points and pulling down 19 rebounds, while Kawhi Leonard dropped 21 points and also grabbed nine rebounds.

Jabari Parker scored 23 points for the Bucks.

Double overtime was needed to separate the Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans, but in the end, the former won 110-108.

Marc Gasol registered a triple-double in the Grizzlies’ narrow win as he finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis was his team’s best player as he ended the game with 28 points and 17 rebounds.

In another close game on Monday, the Houston Rockets managed to sneak past the Boston Celtics 107-106.

James Harden guided the Rockets to victory with his all-round performance that saw him score 38 points, grab eight rebounds and dish out eight assists.

Al Hoford scored 21 points, pulled down six rebounds and dished out nine assists for the Celtics.

The Dallas Mavericks were handed their 16th loss of the season after falling to the Charlotte Hornets 109-101.

Kemba Walker dropped 19 points for the Hornets, while Marco Belinelli added 16 points and six rebounds.

Harrison Barnes had 29 points and seven rebounds in his side’s loss.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz came out on top against the Los Angeles Lakers as they won 107-101.

Gordon Hayward starred for the Jazz with 23 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Lou Williams dropped 38 points for the Lakers.
