Elijah Millsap makes splash in PBA comeback

Comebacking import Elijah Millsap proved he hasn’t lost his fiery form as he towed San Miguel to a good close out of

the PBA Governor’s Cup elims at the expense of already eliminated Blackwater, 107-101, on Sunday night at the Alonte Sports Center in Biñan, Laguna.

Millsap had a solid outing back in his first PBA game since 2013, finishing with a game-high 25 points to go along with 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Arwind Santos also added 19 markers and 7 boards for the Beermen who ended their elimination round campaign with an 8-3 slate.

Though already assured of twice-to-beat incentive, the Beermen still have to wait for the second game result between Ginebra and TNT to determine their final seeding going into the playoffs.

Meanwhile, six Elites breached into double digit scoring led by Art Dela Cruz’s 23 points but still not enough to counter the Beermen’s firepower. Blackwater closed out their season-ending conference tour with a woeful 1-10 win-loss record. – By John Bryan Ulanday
