Aces snap 3-game skid as Hotshots fall anew in Panabo

Alaska banked on LaDontae Henton’s usual scoring outburst to send Star crashing anew, 85-69 to snap a three-game skid in the battle of struggling teams in the PBA Governors Cup Saturday night at Panabo City, Davao Del Norte.

The Aces improved to 2-4 while the Hotshots absorbed their third consecutive loss to drop into a tie for last place with Blackwater Elite at 1-5.

Alaska, known for its suffocating defense, unleashed a crippling 19-3 windup in the final 5 minutes to deal the knockout punch against the Star.

Henton led the Aces with 27 markers while Calvin Abueva added 10.

Meanwhile, Joel Wright paced the slumping Hotshots 20 points while RR Garcia, acquired during the conference break, adding 15. – John Bryan Ulanday
