I don’t understand what a foul is anymore, says Yeng Guiao after ejection from ROS-Alaska game

A visibly frustrated Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao said a lot of people nowadays “no longer understand what a foul is and what isn’t.”

The fiery mentor was simply airing his sentiments, just minutes after being tossed out of the game for incurring his second technical foul during the Rain or Shine-Alaska match on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The former congressman from the first district of Pampanga got ejected during the 3:11 mark of the third period with Rain or Shine behind, 77-74.

Guiao, who got his first technical foul in the 9:44 mark of the second quarter, voiced out his complaint against the referees after Rain or Shine big man Raymond Almazan was called for a foul while trying to bat the ball away from Alaska import LaDontae Henton.

“I don’t understand what a foul is anymore. Actually, it’s not only me. Marami na ang di nakakaiintindi ano ang foul at ano ang hindi foul,” Guiao told a handful of mediamen inside the team’s dugout.

Guiao felt his team was playing well against Alaska, but the fouls called on them somehow, prevented Rain or Shine from gaining momentum.
